Little Miss Know it All said...: Intelligent Policy? Hmmm...have we seen any of that in the last, oh, six years? Somehow I don't think that's what the Think Tank is focused on. I believe AEI is focused on producing quotable reports and "findings" that protect their pre-established ideas. This is the political realm today, and the media realm--cherry picking "facts" (that aren't so factual, but are okay as long as they sound factual) that support their pet theories. This is the kind of stuff that makes Little Miss Know it All boil, and one of the main reasons I left working in politics--because I was tired of explaining all the time why we need to use truth instead of spin. And the media is just as bad--anything for a headline, doesn't matter how "factual" it is. Somehow I think there are a whole lot of unemployed fact-checkers today.; 2/06/2007 5:32 AM
