In his
Washington Postcolumn "Federal Diary," Stephen Barr
highlights the heroism, ingenuity and dedication of several members of the United States Coast Guard during Katrina and its aftermath. If FEMA and other areas of government under the current administration can rise to this level of competence, we'll all be better off. But bravo to the worthy individuals Barr notes, as well as the many others who have gone unsung.
